You can choose to reach it either by foot following the path starting from Afionas village or by boat. Either way visiting this twin bay will definitely worth your time and effort (if you decide to go on foot). The water is crystal clear and the beach is sandy or smooth pebble depending on were you decide to sit.
Agios Stefanos Beach
Located just 16min from Agios Georgios this is a well organized beach perfect for families with kids and for those who enjoy larger sandy beaches. You will also find an ample choice of taverns and restaurants
Arillas
Arillas beach is 2km long and covered in golden sand. It is situated 35km from Corfu town. The resort has a certain quiet and sheltered feel, this being the furthest north of the west coast Corfu destinations. The main road runs alongside the beach and the people are wonderful.
Afionas
Afionas is a quite picturesque and traditional village that sits on a 300 meter altitude. The location is so unique that it would be a shame not to pay a visit during your stay. Besides the traditional architecture the magnificent views and the hiking trails available (also leading to Porto Timoni) will definitely be worthwile.
Aggelokastro
A wonderfull fortess close to Paleokastritsa and dating back to the Byzantine era. Aggelokastro is a significant historical site situated on top of a 700 meter hill. Reaching the top will require a bit of effort however the setting, the panoramic view and the site itself will definitely be rewarding.
Liapades
Liapades is a beautiful traditional village located 20km from Corfu town. About 800 meters from the village you will find the main beach "Gefyra". The beach is surrounded by lush green hills which create a wonderful scenery. It stretches for a few hundred meters and is covered with sand and shingle.
Lakones
The traditional village of Lakones is placed on a green hill overlooking Paleokastritsa bay. The location provides wondeful views and the majority of the houses are of traditional 18th and 19th century architecture. It will be a great location to explore as there is a significant number of churches and traditional gift shops as well as many hiking trails which lead to Paleokastritsa.
